Short tour description: This tour will be a 4 to 5 hour hiking starting from the top of the Vodno Mountain to the church of St. Nicholas (Sveti Nikola Shishevski) at Matka, situated on top of the cliff above Lake Matka in the Canyon Matka , located 17 km from Skopje. We’ll visit the Church “St. Andrews” built in 1389 and contains frescos of great artistic value and the mountaineering house “Matka”. Boat ride thru the canyon of the Matka lake and lunch in secluded improvised (wood and stones only) restaurant located over the water in beautiful lake lagoon. On the way back we’ll across tourist localities like: “Hussein Shah-Pasha” Mosque in Saraj, the artificial lake Treska, village Glumovo and the weekend settlement Matka, Monastery “Holly Mother” built in the 14 century, the kayak paths on Treska River and the dam of the artificial lake Matka built in 1935. 



Detailed schedule for the tour
08:00 Pick up from your place of accommodation in Skopje
08:30 Start hiking Vodno Mountain from the big parking lot, located in the middle of the Vodno Mountain
09:30 Arrival at the top of the Vodno Mountain, where we’ll make 30 min. brake for a cup of tea or breakfast 
10:00 – 14:30 Hiking and arrival to the church of St. Nicolas Sisevski. We’ll have 20 minutes time to walk around the church as well as to have a short rest before we continue to the next point.
14:50 – 15:05From the church of St. Nicholas Shishevski we’ll reach a small port where we call a boat (by ringing a bell) to come from the other side of the lake (the boat ride is a 5 min. from the port to the Monastery of St.Andrews). 

15:10 – 15:30 Visit the Church of “St. Andrews” and the mountaineering house “Matka”, where we’ll stay about 20 min. (taking pictures, break for coffee and refreshments). Also for the most adventurers guests we can organize quick climbing lesson with climbing instructor so they will try to climb the rock called “Plochka” rising over mountaineering house “Matka”. (Additionally 15 Euro per person and just during the weekend).  
15:30 – 15:50 From the small port we’ll take a boat. The trip with the boat is a wonderful experience and the Treska Canyon can be observed from this trip. One way of the boat trip takes about 20-25 min. Lunch in the lagoon restaurant and enjoying the traditionally prepared lunch and beautiful untouched nature. There we’ll stay for about 2 hrs. (Depending of the group mood it can be extended) after which we’ll take a boat again and get back to the little St. Andrew’s port. 
18:00 - 18:20 Returning to the small port.  
18:20 - 18:45 We’ll return to the parking on foot, and after that to Skopje.  
19:30 Departure to Skopje.
