Day 1
Skopje

Arrival at Skopje airport. Transfer to your hotel . Short introductory tour of hotels vicinities- getting useful hints from your tour guide. Dinner at a local restaurant with music. Overnight in Skopje.

Day 2
Skopje

Morning sightseeing tour; Visit to the Old Rail station – first train station on the Balkan; The monument of Mother Teresa; The house of Mother Teresa; The Stone Bridge – monumental building in the center of the city; The church St. Spas, built at the end of the XVII century, and place were are placed the relic of the great Macedonian Revolutionary Goce Delcev (1872-1903); The Fortress Kale – the most outstanding tourist attraction of the city Skopje; The church Panteleimon, G. Nerezi – built in the XII century represent important monument from the Byzantine period. Lunch in St. Panteleimon.  After lunch visit the St. Andrew – Matka, built in the XVI century, with its stylistic, artistically and especially with iconographic frescos presents authentic artistically work. Dinner in local restaurant with folklore music.

Day 3
Mavrovo - Ohrid

After relaxed breakfast – drive west to Mavrovo (1 hr). Walking tour of Mavrovo; which represents one of the most attractive tourist centers in Macedonia. It manages with abundance of all floral and animal world, among which is stressing numerous, and presence of does, dears, bears lynx’s etc. Near to Mavrovo are found the famous Debar villages Galichnik, Gari, Selce, Treshonce, the monastery St. Jovan Bigorski, all placed in one impressive natural environment. In the hart of the Bistra mountain, lays Galichnik. Referred to – synonym for authenticity, skillful excavation, art, national revivalism, impressible traditional mode, habits and architecture, and incredible tasty white and yellow cheese. Some free time for a snack- before leaving for Ohrid (1? hrs) . Dinner and overnight in Ohrid (B,D).

Day 4
Ohrid

Morning sightseeing tour - Tour starts before the monument of St. Cyril and Methodius, and it continues to the Lower gate, City museum, church St. Sofia, Antic theater, Upper gate, church St. Virgin Mary, Perivleptos, The Gallery of effigies, Samoils fortress, Plaoshnik, and tour ends with a walk thru Ohrid’s market-place. Overnight in Ohrid (B,D)

 

Day 5
Ohrid - Bitola

After breakfast- we will visit church and beautifully renovated monastery hotel complex of St. Naum. Original church and monastery was built in 900 by St. Naum a pilgrim and healing center  in a church was beried St. Naum in 910, in a small beautifully frescoed chapel. Here are the springs of river Crn Drim.  After a short walking tour we will have lunch at one of the many restaurants over viewing the beautifully lake view. Your late afternoon drive to Bitola will take 1 hrs, including a stop in Galicica – where you will see with one view – two lakes Ohridsko and Prespansko lake. Dinner and overnight in Bitola. (B,D)

Day 6
Bitola - Prilep

BitolaCity tour in the morning, incl. visit the Antic city Heraclea which is located near the city Bitola, in the pedestal of Baba mountain, and it was built in the middle centre of the IV century B.C., and with it’s beauty and charm testifies of the persistence and superiority through time. We should not forget to visit the military high school “Kemal Ataturk” creator of the modern Turkey. Dinner at a local restaurant. After that, drive to Prilep. Dinner and overnight in Prilep (B.D).

Day 7
Prilep - Strumica

PrilepAfter relaxed breakfast – sightseeing tour to city Krushevo, which guards the evidences of the Macedonian revolutionary and cultural past. This living museum of architecture dreams of the time when number of people will be delighted with magnificent clean air will enjoy skiing, flights with parachutes and will be appalled by the wealth of Krushevo’s guest rooms. In the year 1903 in Krusevo  raised up the Ilinden rebellion against the Omani authority, and Krushevo manifesto was proclaimed,  where fugacious Krushevo Republic expressed the centuries of Macedonian striving for freedom and independency. Krushevo is one particular world, in which the past in a wonderful way exists parallel with the present.   After that, drive to Strumica. Dinner and overnight in Strumica (B.D).

Day 8
Strumica - Berovo

In the morning – sightseeing tour of Strumica; Visit to the cultural-historical places of interest of the city Strumica and it’s surroundings. Visit to the monastery “VODOCHA” with it’ frescos and visit to the woman monastery “VELJUSA” in the same vilidge.  Lunch or dinner at local restaurant – famous with traditional specialties. . After that, drive to Berovo. Dinner and overnight in Berovo (B.D).

Day 9
Berovo - Skopje

SkopjeIn the morning;  Mountain adventure on the Maleshevski mountain, and visit to the local population.  Early  afternoon return to your hotel in Skopje. (B,L).

 

 


DAY 10   SKOPJE
Flight schedule permitting – option for visiting Skopje Old Bazaar with old and new market place.  Transfer to the airport. (B).
