ONE DAY WINE TOUR

Celebration Orthodox St. Trifun, a religious holiday Negotino
St. Trifun in Macedonia is considered the patron of the fields, patron of the grape fields and grape growers. In his honour, on 14 February a great celebration is held in the Negotino city square. The programme for the celebration includes agricultural and cultural happenings, and the famous Wine Fair. The priests say a prayer, and the pruning season is symbolically marked with the pruning of the three church wine grapes. Then, the grape growers’ feast continues, and it includes cultural and artistic performances by folklorists from Negotino and ends with a group wine degustation. In the local restaurant, you will be served with Macedonian specialties, you will taste delicious Macedonian wines, you will be able to buy quality wines at discounted prices as well as souvenirs that will remind you of a wonderful experience in Macedonia.

PROGRAMME

08.00  Departure with a minibus from the "Holiday Inn" parking lot with an
           English speaking guide
09.45  Presence at the ceremony of pruning in the winery, near by
           the centre of the city. The ceremony lasts for about 45 min.
10.45  Degustation of wine and cold appetizers in the winery
12.00  Visit of the Wine Fair in the city centre
14.00  Lunch in the local restaurant 
17.00  Departure for Skopje
19.00  Arrival in Skopje
